Prof. Dr. Bernhard Elsner | DGNKN Board
Bernhard Elsner works as a professor of physiotherapy at Universität zu Lübeck, Lübeck, Germany. He is also Privatdozent (‘associate professor’) for Public Health and supervisor of PhD students at the Faculty of Medicine at Technische Universität Dresden, Germany. Bernhard is educated as a physiotherapist, public health professional and medical informatician.
He works for three Cochrane Groups and has published more than ten Cochrane publications (full reviews, updates and protocols). His research relates to evidence-based stroke rehabilitation, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord, critical illness polyneuropathy and myopathy and other neurological diseases with a focus on the use of technology for rehabilitation.
He is secretary of the German Society of Physiotherapy Science (DGPTW, www.dgptw.org) and the German Society of Neurorehabilitation (DGNKN, www.dgnkn.de).
